Ipe (pronounced ee-pay) is an exotic hardwood that is also called Brazilian Walnut. Ipe is naturally very resistant to rot and insects due to it very dense characteristics. Ipe is widely used for decking, siding, and decorative structures. Ipe can be installed with hidden fasteners for a very clean install.Ipe can be left to naturally patina to a light grey color or oiled to maintain a light brown color very similar to that of mahogany.Stonewood is experienced in installing new docks and decks, as well as restoring and maintaining existing installs.
